Hire Conditions

This venue is not available for discos or parties, except for childrens’ parties in the morning and afternoon sessions.

Alcohol may not be consumed or sold on the premises.

No animals except guide dogs, are allowed on the premises, other than for a special event agreed to by GR&RR

The hirerShall ensure that noise is kept to a minimum on arrival and departure
The hirershall not use the premises for any purposes other than that described in the hiring agreement, and shall not sub-hire in any circumstances or allow the premises to be used in any unlawful way
The hirershall ensure that nothing is done on, or in relation to the premises in contravention of the law relating to gaming, betting and lotteries
The hirershall, during the period of the hiring, be responsible for
* supervision of the premises contents
* behaviour of all persons using the premises
* supervision of children at all times
* supervision of parking arrangements
* care and protection of the fabric and contents of the building
* health and safety, including alarms and evacuation procedures in the event of fire
The hirershall not do anything or bring onto the premises anything that may render invalid the insurance policies in respect of the building

hirer
Shall indemnify GR&RR against:
– The cost of any damage done to any part of the premises including the curtilage or contents.
– All claims in respect of damage or loss of property or injury to persons arising as a result of the use of the premises by the hirer
The hirermust report all accidents involving injury to a member of the public to a trustee of the GR&RR as soon as possible and complete the the relevant section in the GR&RR accident book.
The hirershall be responsible for leaving the premises and the surrounding area in a clean and tidy condition, and any contents temporarily removed from their usual positions properly replaced, otherwise GR&RR shall be at liberty to make an additional charge. The hirer shall ensure that the Hall is not left unattended or unsupervised at any time during the hiring.
The GR&RRThe GR&RR reserves the right to cancel any hiring, by written notice to the Hirer, in the event of GR&RR reasonablyconsidering that such hiring may lead to a breach of legal or statutory requirements, or unlawful or unsuitable activities likely to take place at the premises, as a result of the hiring.

If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking before the date of the event and GR&RR is unable to conclude a replacement booking, the question of the payment or the repayment of the fee shall be at the discretion of GR&RR.

If the premises become unfit for the use intended by the Hirer, the Hirer shall be entitled to a refund of any
deposit paid, but GR&RR shall not be liable to the Hirer for any resulting direct or indirect loss or damages
whatsoever.
The GR&RRaccepts no responsibility for any equipment or other property brought onto or left at the premises. Equipment must comply with current safety regulations. All property must be removed at the end of the hiring period.

No alterations or additions may be made to the premises nor may any fixtures be installed or placards, decorations or other articles be attached to any part of the premises without prior approval of GR&RR.

Hire charges are subject to review. The charge payable will be the charge applicable on the day of hire.
Any special deposit will be refunded within 28 days of the termination of the period of hire provided no damage or loss has been
caused to the premises and/or contents during the period of hire as a result of the hiring, that the building is vacated by the time
stated in the hire agreement, and is left in a satisfactory condition and all keys to the premises have been returned to a trustee
of GR&RR. Any failure of equipment belonging to GR&RR must be reported as soon as possible to a trustee of GR&RR.
